Can you possibly share with me the technique that you used for this? How you went about painting with the watercolors, and the process in general?
I'm starting Watercolors in my art class, and I'm looking for some advice.

Hi Jayden

How I do:

* I usually start with a weak drawing. I use graphite pencils, it is different for different paintings.

* I paint the foreground on dry paper and the background on half wet or dry paper.

* It is very important that you always use a variety of shades of color that you mix up. I often tone down the colors in some part of my paintings.

* I Work always very slow with thin layers of color.

* I always use very small brushes.

* My deep fascination for trees have helped me to paint them. This allows me to paint trees directly from my head, and it gives the trees more feeling than trees which are painted from photographs.

Good luck and please show me what you paint

Thanks so much for sharing!
Now having worked with watercolor a bit, I can only appreciate yours that much more.
Here's my latest work that is almost finished:

I know I need to work on the 'watery' part of water colors, since I tried to do this very much like an acrylic paint. (That's where I'm comfortable - adding layers)
This was done with Gouache.

nice :)
try to work slower, with more thin layers.
I use a lot Gouache, I use it on top of the thin watercolor
Most watercolor painters in Sweden paint much more "wet on wet" than I do
